Live Rock Shipping

I am in the process of setting up a 28 gallon nano with primarily dry rock. I want to get a few pieces of really high quality rock with lots of life in it to seed the tank, and from what I hear PA is the place to go. Being that I am only going to need a few pounds, my price per pound would be very high with overnight shipping.

Would it be safe to get the rock shipped via UPS ground? Based on the UPS map, I am in the two day zone (Northern NJ).

I could pick it up at the local UPS customer service center if that makes a difference.

That wouldn't be a problem at all to go UPS Ground. We ship the majority of our liverock out via a 2-day method and it does very well during transit. The dieoff is still very minimal with it. Let us nkow if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. I will definately placing an order. I am also looking at the rock pool crud. Would this be good for adding biodiversity to a tank started with dry rock?
