Live rock

I am looking for some premium large chunks of live rock. I will probably need in excess of 100 lbs still.

I am in no hurry ladies and gentlemen but as always the reef hobby is lots of needs

Marco Rock is probably the best rock and price out there. No nasty hitchhikers, no phosphates and old nutrients to leech out, awesome shapes, very light (no water weight so you get more rock anyhow), etc. Top notch, will not do "live rock" ever again.

No good hitchhikers either. I'm the opposite - I will never do dead rock again, because part of what makes a reef so interesting to me is biodiversity, and that's something you'll never get with dry rock and sand. I went with Tampa Bay Saltwater for my last 2 builds, and have been very happy with the results. Yes, I have found isopods, gorilla crabs, mantis shrimp, and a couple of whelk snails in my tanks, all of which I've trapped and removed. But I've also found assorted mithrax crabs, tunicates and sponges, christmas tree worms, featherdusters, tube corals, cup corals, good bristleworms, porcelain crabs, pistol shrimp, and countless other cool things.

Oh, btw...That porcelain crab in my avatar is sitting on a fairly new (at the time) piece of marco rock. It was green for quite some time in my tank before the purple finally started to take over.

I agree rumble..."live rock" is called so for only one reason... I thought about using the other rock for a fish only tank though...

Yep I can totally see using marco, brs rock, or even tampa bay saltwater dry rock for a fish only tank; they stack nice, look good, and provide lots of surface area for bacteria. Uncured live rock + fish is usually a bad idea unless you like picking isopods off your fish every night with tweezers for several weeks.

My friend here in Memphis has about 200 lbs of Premum Bali XL Rock to sell. It is covered in coraline and is full of life. PM me if your interested. $4 a lb. He has some pretty large chunks and medium size pieces as well. Pick up only.

I have a couple really big pieces of lr and about 120 or so lbs of regular size pieces if interested
