live rock

Hey Jason.

I am upgrading from a 90 to a 180 and need to add some live rock. I have been looking at the deal Jeff's exoctic fish has ( ultra Vanisi for 2.60 a pound)what kind of product are you carring and what is your delivery setup like. I would pay more if the product came in good condition. I live in washington

Right now we only have the Super Fiji, but it's really nice rock. It's a brand new collection station, so it's hole uncut type pieces with good coverage. We sell it cured and uncured. For shipping you'll probably want air-cargo, it's a bit of a pain dealing with the airlines, but saves you some money. We of course can FedEX right to your door also.

I can get the Vanisi rock but probably wouldn't be competitive with Jeff's price. Vanisi is a nice looking rock, but i would be concern with algae problems. The sample we bought, about 100 pounds, had a lot of bubble algae and some hair algae. From the looks i imagine this rock is collected from very shallow water, so could end up with more algae problems. I don't know this for sure, just going by the looks. It did have a nice coverage of life on it and looked very similar to Fiji.

p.s. We hopefully will have more Marshall rock in next week. You do not get as many bonus life critters, but it's the most open and branchy of all the rocks.
