Live rock

Can someone tell me where I can buy live rock and what kind I should buy? There is a local reef store here, however their live rock comes from locals and doesn't look very good. If I buy live rock online I have to cure it. Can someone tell me what the steps are in curing the live rock and how long as well. I have a 60 gallon tank. Thanks everyone!!!

liverocknreef . com have some nice stuff... they will ship it directly to the airport if you have one near by. Either way there will still be die off. IF you are wanting to add it to a tank that is already set up then you need to cure it in a separate container... I would recommend something with a hole in the bottom that you can open and close so you can change the water easily if need be (as long as there isn't ALOT of die you wont need to do this) other then that you just check the ammonia level daily when it reads 0 its cured.

I recommend Tampa Bay Saltwater. I've purchased two of Richard's "Packages" and the amount of life that comes on the rock combined with the sponges, gorgonians, and other critters he ships give you an instant reef. Going on a year after I got the rock, nearly everything included is still alive and happy. I even have several corals that came as hitch hikers starting to grow out. While it may be expensive, especially the air freight cost, it is totally worth it.
