hey guys i got some rock thats be sitting out in a bag for about a month or so is it ok to put the rock back in water because its all dryup and white would the mess with my water quality and is there still any bacteria left on the rock am i able to bring it back to life

If you add that to your tank you're going to have a ammonia cycle for sure. I would suggest cycling the rock in either a rubber maid trashcan or a small fish tank if you have one.

Yeah the white stuff is a cycle mini or otherwise wating to happen do what insacron said and recycle it for a few weeks then put it in.

I doubt there's anything left alive on the rock, and it may have already rotted away, so you may or may not have a cycle issue with the adding it. I'd probably allow it to cure in an independent setup prior to using it if that's feasible.

If you're curious about curing check out this page over at live aquaria: Live Rock and Live Sand Acclimation and Curing Guide

You could always boil the rock and sterilize it. It shouldn't cause a cycle then. It would just be base rock that would become live in a tank in time.

thanx because i got a nano 10 gal hex running with one good rock that i got from my LFS and since i got a bunch of rock left over from my old 40gal that crack a few mons ago so just put the rock in a spread place with water for a few weeks
