Marine Depot has the best prices due to the free shipping and their customer service is top notch. The rock is okay for Figi. I think the nicest rock I ever purchased online came from Premium Aquatics.
I got some really nice aquacultured (45lbs) from Dr. F & S. fedex overnight within days critters everywhere with lots of star fish, polyps, dusters.... aquacultured SAVE the reefs!
In a hurry? If not...you can also look for locals "moving on" from the hobby. All my live rock (about 300lbs of it) came from other reefers with succesfull tanks. Check in with your local club... here are three in MD:
+1 on buying from local reefers! it gives you a chance to help someone out and you usually get insane deals. I just picked up 120 lbs of rock from local guys for less than a dollar a pound!
You could also buy a load of base rock and only buy a few pieces of LR. Not only does this save you more money to buy more things for your tank but it also doesn't impact the oceans.
Click the red house to see my rock work set up. The base rock i purchased was around 50$ for 40 lbs and is very nice looking.
Went to my SW LFS today and he said he had 3 people come in last week that were quiting the hobby and wanting to sell out. He has so much already he cant fit any more in his tanks.
Economy's got alot of folks.
You should have no problem finding some live rock.
There is a "want to buy" forum section here on RC.
