I spent the weekend on the gulf. I walked out into the water at low tide and dug up some nice white sand and sealed the bags under water. I dont think this sand has ever hit the beach or seen dirty feet.... But what should I do before I put this into my tank. Yes the tank is running and fairly established. I have a sand and rubbel bottom now and I plan to sift out all the shells and junk before I place the sand in.
Should I do it or throw the sand out in the sun and let it bleach and clean it all up first? I really like the Idea of it being live but I guess I may be taking my chances with what I get along with the sand! ANy advise? Or Experience?
