live sand question

my question is i have had my tank set up for a couple of years and i would like too add a couple of inches to my sand bed if i got your live sand would my tank have to go through another cycle or will everything be ok with just a couple of inches

I doubt you would detect a cycle on a 2 year old tank. The biggest problem you will have is the new layer of sand trapping detrius and things. This could lead to increased nitrates for quite some time. But that would not be due to anything specific about the TBS sand. A bag of dry sand from the store would have the same issue. In general I wouldn't do this unless there was a really good reason.

Correct

If you want to add sand, <ours> you have to fully mix it up with what you have...otherwise a new layer of sand will kill what you have already....
