Is ordering from liveaquaria.com a good site to order fish and corals from or are there better web sites? i have never ordered from a website and i am a little apprehensive about doing it.
any advice would be great!

LiveAquaria is very reputable and they have a very very good guarantee - better than many LFSes. You can also look at Etropicals.com which is run by the same company. Their corals are not especially fantastic though, there are better sites for that (mainly ones which show you the actual piece you're getting). Look at the RC sponsor list for some of those.

You need not worry. they are about as good as it gets. Half my fish, half my corals and half my equipment has come from them and never once a hiccup. If there is by chance one they will make it right hassle free. they have a forum here you can review.

Liveaquaria is one of the best no doubt about it. They have many satisfied customers. I just wish I was one of them but hey you cant please everyone.

Liveaquaria is great and I've also ordered a lot from marinedepotlive and been very satisfied with their customer service and quality of livestock. If your order is large enough you may even be able to negotiate a good deal on a coral or clam. I've got a couple clams from then for about $29 cause I asked.

I've ordered from Liveaquaria twice now and they were great both times. Fish were in better shape than I expected and very healthy and happy, much better than fish I've seen any LFS within 100 miles. Their guarantee is pretty darn good too.

If you want to see the specific animal you're ordering check out their "Diver's Den" section. All of my fish with the exception of one came from them, and all of my non-coral inverts are from them. I'm not sure I will be likely to buy fish locally again any time soon. Of course my tank is kind of stocked now anyway. :p

I think they charge shipping flat rate of $35. I paid $10 extra to have delivery by 10:30am the next day.

I'm close to the Foster and Smith retail store. Foster and Smith/Live Aquaria is one of the best. If you weren't able to get to the frag swap, try to make it next year. They do have some of the best quarentine procedures around. Their livestock stays in quarentine for 2 weeks I think in their tanks and then they have to be eating and go through a health inspection before they ship it out. The fish you would get would be eating frozen shrimp at their store and be in perfect condition. For corals, not sure on others, but like SPS, they would be fully encrusted onto the frag plug and many branches. Great vendor! The shipping on fish I think is $39 because it is overnight air. They recommend you be home to pick it up when it is delivered.

Liveaquaria.com is spectacular. Great customer service, wonderful selections, healthy creatures, and they also do an awesome job shipping their items. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Ya, shipping is great. They will check the weather in your area and decide if they will put an ice pack, heat pack, or nothing in the styrofoam box too.

Customer service is also great. You won't find any better :D

All of my corals, and almost all of my fish are Live Aquaria. Shipping is 34.99 or 39.99 depending on order amount it's like $250 before it's $39.99. I love the corals, check my gallery for samples.

I have also placed two orders from LA and both times have been happy with what I got. Customer service has always been great.

I have ordered from LA and eTropicals.com (same owner). Both were fine. Comparison shop them because one is quite a bit cheaper than the other (unpredictable on which one). Just fill out shopping cart on both and compare prices.
