Liveaquaria Thoughts?

They'll refund your 1st DOA in full but if you reorder & it happens again, as it did to me recently, your shipping won't be refunded. And back in November I bought an "ORA bonded pair of seahorses" on DD that turned out to be a male, & what "looked" like a female but was actually a sexually immature male. I contacted them early on as soon as I saw a pouch developing & provided a picture but they said they couldn't determine if it was a pouch or not. Recently I saw this seahorse attempt to mate with a female from another pair that I have so I think I can safely say this seahorse is a male. I emailed them again & they didn't acknowledge it. Then last week I sent another email not only mentioning the seahorse again but also the fact that I have no problem paying for the shipping on a DOA if they could please show me where in their shipping info it states this. This email has not been answered & I'm sure that's because what can they say? There IS nothing in the shipping info that states this AND they sold me a pair of seahorses that turned out to be 2 males. I have been a customer for years & until all of this happened, I could not have been happier. Now I'm not so happy. I have 2 many males in my seahorse tank & paid shipping for a dead fish.

I'll second all the previous positive comments. DD is the only place I fully trust. Note that SPSs bought from them are healthy and pest free but not quite as color saturated as shown in their pictures.

I just ordered another batch of fish, all came very healthy and eating, just make sure you get the minimum order so you do not pay for shipping if you can hep it. I do not mind a little extra for health fish that eat and will survive then a sick fish that will wipe out my tank. Lesson learned.

As a follow-up to my previous post, I'd like to mention that very soon after, I was contacted by Kevin Kohen who promised to look into everything for me. I came to find out that I did in fact have a credit issued to my account for the shipping on the D.O.A.'s but due to a bit of miscommunication, I never received the email letting me know. And as far as the D.O.A.'s & the problem with the seahorse, he took care of that too.
As I mentioned earlier, I have been a customer for years & have always been extremely happy with everything I purchased. The problems I ran into recently were the first ever, & although they weren't reason enough to cause me to discontinue being a customer, I wasn't happy about how things were handled. But thanks to Kevin I feel so much better about it all.
Thank you again Kevin.

Anyone ever get any diseased fish from LA?

Sure I have, I'm probably nearing 2 dozen orders with liveaquaria over the years and have at times had issues with fish. It is inevitable. Quarantining is prudent regardless of the livestock source.
