Liverock order

I have never talked to Jeremy once and till last night never done business with PA. I understand about wanting to get things taken care of, I more then understand. But the fact you start making attacks on OTHER threads is where you cross the line from venting to being rude

smcnally: thank you, finally someone I dont have to respond to a post that attacks me. I appreciate your input, I probably dont want macro or Zoo's on my rock but corraline, pods and bacteria yes. I have a good idea what liverock should look like despite only having about a year in the hobby. I am trying to relax and enjoy this hobby but when I feel I have been screwed, I'm not a nice person, some people may not like my approach but I really dont care.

etrigo: talk about making attacks on other people's threads, in other people's business?????? Look in the mirror bud. Did you suddenly have a relapse and forget what you wrote? lol

you opened yourself to this criticism by posting this in the public forum and going beyond venting and I am just pointing out the facts, far from making any sort of "attacks" as you describe. LOLLLLL

you make more noise then my woman does.....all your talk caused me to go spend some $$ with PA right now.

What would you call this then? Being friendly? It was obviously meant in a negative way. I'm sorry if you are not happily married. Once again, you make yourself look ignorant.

I hate to give Tallman any credibility but he does have a valid point. I recently bought about 200 pounds of Marshall 3 weeks ago. I was mildly disappointed in my purchase, not enough to throw a tantrum but disappointed. I am fairly new to the hobby and this is only my second major purchase of live rock. From the description on the web site and all the hype about the rock, I did expect more. I expected the rock to look like the pictures and have all kinds of "extras" and be covered with coralline algae. When I hand picked the rock out of the vats it looked great with all kinds of colors and shapes. Upon getting the rock home and starting the curing process the rock smelled awful and I mean awful. Now the rock is mostly a light color with a pinkish and green cast where there was once a bright color. I feel confident that all the colors will come back and the rock will look great. I
in no way think Premium Aquatics is being deceptive but the descrptions of the rock and the customer reviews might possibly be misleading. I am completely happy with my purchase and know that in a short time the rock will look like the pictures again.

And by the way, the service when I bought the rock was excellent. Very courteous and willing to answer questions. I would recommend buying the rock but don't expect an "instant reef" as soon as you put it in your tank as maybe I did.

wild.

i've never had better customer service than i've received at PA - from any kind of business. just sorta seems like you're determined to be honked off, no matter what they do. how many places can you think of that 'ok, we'll send you a replacement order' would even be a consideration?

i've never had any issues w/ PA rock, and i've got a 240 full of it - i was pleased with what *wasn't* on it. no choking macros, no mantis, no evil bugs. if you put a tennis shoe into a decent tank setup, it's going to be covered in coraline w/in a couple of months. i wouldn't worry about the rock.

Kevin-

I called a couple of times today and left a message. Please give me a call at your convenience.

Jeremy,
I tried calling you back and got your voice mail. I left a message, call me back whenever you can. Thanks

Jeremy,
Thank you for your offer to refund my original order. It says alot about your owner and your business to recieve the great customer service that you have offered me. I just regret that it took this long to come to a conclusion, I thought you were just blowing me off. Once again, I apolize for the threats. They were just a result of my frustration and way out of line. Thanks again.

FWIW I saw a local reefers 24 gallon nano set up a few days after receiving the shipment of a PA reef package and it was all it was advertised and then some! I tagged on a few things to their order is the only reason I went by to pick it up and saw the amazing quality.

I don't know a soul from PA just stating what I saw with my own eyes so nobody thinks I am just a "freind" trying to make them look good ;). I did have a problem with a pump volute cracking and they were very easy to deal with and helpful to put me intouch with reeflows customer service which sent out a replacement part right away.

Hmm, come to think of it I had a problem with a balast from them they replace that turned out to be "user error" :) They got on the phone with me and helped me figure out what the problem was and why my bulbs didn't fire after the secong balast was having the same problems. Turns out it was cheap bulbs that were the problem. Seriously the hamiltons I replaced the cheapos with fired within seconds concistently every time and still are running great! Awsome company IMO

Some folks are just to fast to rant so don't let this one person sway your decision from ordering from this company! (ANd no this is not an "attack" at you personally tallman, just its a public forum and I felt the need to share my experiences with this company also :))

Damn those chep hobby books, and the rocks with snails, algae, corals etc on them :).
If You have recived clean rock, fresh smell, light and porous, good shape, than You should be very hapy , cause nothing, alnmost nothing will die off, PA have done the job for You and deliver to you clean, fresh bioloical live rock.
Were from that there have to be zoanthids or else on a live rock?

Having worked with PA a few times now, I can guarantee their representatives will go out of their way to satisfy the customers needs. But it looks like some customers are never satisfied.

I drove to Premium Aquatics from Chicago to Indianapolis for a buddies tank to hand pick rock. And all the rock in their pools were amazing. We got a mixture of Fiji and Marshall Islands. Awesome rock. Also I picked some really nice corals for myself out of their coral tanks. A+++

what a friggin tool this dope is. all this screamin just to con PA out of some free live rock. props to PA for putting up with his crap and even sending him new rocks free of charge.
