Liverock Questions

Question 1: What is a showpiece (liverock)? I've heard some people talk about how they received a showpiece in their shipment.

Question 2: I'm about to order about 75lbs of rock for my 85 gallon tank (43x42x12). I have 2 options in terms of size: (3) rocks that are about 25lbs each or (1) rock that is 75lbs. Not sure what to get, need a little help deciding.

IMO I would'nt like either of those options, most people get rocks of all diffrent sizes in order to make their tank look the way they want it. ie. stacking it in islands and making caves for the fish to swim through.

One rock gives you no choices, and three big rocks will also limit you.

I guess you could always use a screw driver and hammer to break up the rock into smaller sizes though.

There's no need to post multiple threads about one topic.

I'd go with multpiple rocks, unless you want to spend a few hours breaking apart the rocks to get them aquascaped.

go with the smaller size. 75lbs sound very very big. a showcase piece of lr is the one people use in the center of their display.
