Liverock with no flow and no light??

Hi!
I bought a few pounds of LR a few days ago and I keep it in plastic barrels in my house, cause my tank is not ready yet,
Do you think it´s ok to keep live rock that way, with no flow and no lights?

No light will be fine, but I think you need at least minimal flow. I assume that your rock is now curing? Do you have the rock in seperate barrels? Try to find a large container like one of the cheap rubbermaid ones to hold all your rock and just put a power head in it along with the rock and wait for it to cure.

I don´t think the rock is curing, I bought it from a guy who was taking his tank down, so the rock has been in a tank with livestock for a long time, so it´s already cured isn´t it,? I just mixed some saltwater and threw it in.... I hope it´s still liverock.
anyway I will put a powerhead in the containers.

I would get as much flow in there as humanly possible with no lights therefore killing any possible nusiance algae that guy may have had you will be glad later. Reef on dude

Rock like you say (unless it has been out of water for awhile during transport) should be cured and fine.

If it has a good amount of life on it I would keep the temp stable and add a bit of flow.
