Livestock for sale - near Hibbing

I am moving across the country, so selling all the contents from my 75 gallon reef. I might consider selling as a whole if anyone is interested, otherwise all livestock has to go.

I will work on prices and pictures in the next day or two....

The bad parts: I am located in Side Lake - 20 miles north of Hibbing. And....due to old bulbs and an old sandbed, there is some bubble algae, some hair algae, a bit of cyano and maybe 1/2 dozen aiptasia in the tank.

The good news: I have a lot of corals!

HARD CORALS:

Frogspawn - very large probably at least 25 heads, with mostly green tips, but a few heads have pinkish tips.

Cup Coral - HUGE, tannish in color.

Neon green candy cane - 3 pieces with at least 7 heads each.

torch coral - lightish green, maybe pingpong ball sized, attached to a large piece of liverock.

small frags: one small frogspawn, one small torch

Favia - reddish w/some green - pingpong size.

echino - small, tannish

Large brown plating montipora

orange plate coral - some receding tissue on this one.

Brain coral - bright neon green - some receding tissue.

SOFT CORALS:

ricordia - peach w/greenish bluish center. 5 polpys total.

pink pompom pulsing xenia - several rocks with tons of heads

Huge rock covered in reddish zoos and mushrooms

Huge rock covered mostly in green star polyps with a smaller area of pink/brown star polyps.

Huge rock covered in reddish mushrooms w/ a few neon green.

Yellow polyps

Green star polyps - several smaller rocks, in addition to the large rock mentioned above.

Green fuzzy mushrooms

Kenya trees - several from small frags, to a fair sized colony.

FISH:

Pair of occ. clowns

Royal gramma

6 line wrasse

Yellow clown goby - very thin, need less boisterous (piggy) tank mates :(

Serpent star - black and white striped.

Also:
Heater - brand new in box metal/titanium type heater
Conscientious Marine Aquarist book.
PC Light - 24" CSL 2x65 watt pc w/moonlights. One bulb does not work - starter out? - but one bulb, moonlights and fan do work.

Ooooh, someone close to me! I am interested in cup coral, neon green candys, torch, favia, green brain, ricordia. maybe red zoo rock and royal gramma & sixline, I actually have lost both these fish to jumping out in the last two months, gonna cover before I add them this time. I get paid Friday, should I just sign the check over to you? Also let me talk to my pet store owner, she may be interested in frogspawn, small torch, green fuzzies mushrooms, etc. Send me some pics @ gomakemecoffee@hotmail.com , maybe we can meet up Friday or Sat, I want to set up a spare tank to kill any aips and algea so they don't spread.

I'm interested in a lot of those items. Ilive up in Ely and could make a spin down there this weekend to take a look if you are going to be around.

This is kind of sad for me.......

Had some buyers, here is what is left:

All rock is still available. Most pieces are very large with corals attached. Some smaller bare pieces at the bottom. Some algae, cyano and a couple of aiptasia are present in tank.....

HARD CORALS:

$15 Neon green candy cane - 1 piece left

$50? I can't remember just how big this rock is until I pull it out. torch coral - lightish green, maybe golf ball ball sized, attached to a large piece of liverock.

$5 small frag: one small frogspawn (itty bitty)

$15 echino - small, tannish

?? Large brown plating montipora on a fairly big rock with lots of gsp.

SOFT CORALS:

$15 to $40 pink pompom pulsing xenia - several rocks with tons of heads.

$75 Huge rock covered in reddish zoos and same color mushrooms

$ 60 Huge flat rock covered mostly in green star polyps with a smaller area of pink/brown star polyps. Did I say covered? Looks like a field of grass waving in the wind

$50 Huge flat rock covered in reddish mushrooms w/ a few neon green.

$5 Yellow polyps - one very small piece left.

$15 - $20 Green star polyps - 1 or maybe 2 smaller rocks left, in addition to the large rock mentioned above.

$15 Green fuzzy mushrooms - one small rock left, but it is pending.

$8-$20 for mounted frags. Kenya trees - a few small frags, and one large rock with 4-5 stocks is pending. The 2 "mother" stalks are still available, too, but they are on a very large piece of rock. ??

FISH:

I don't want to attempt catching the fish until more rock/corals are gone....

$35 Pair of occ. clowns - female is larger w/darker back, male is smaller all orange. They were hosting in a frogspawn, but now their home is gone :( Prefer them to go to another 75 gallon, or bigger.....

$20 Royal gramma

$25 6 line wrasse

Yellow clown goby - very thin, need less boisterous (piggy) tank mates. Free to a good, mellow home where there is less competition for food.

$15 Serpent star - black and white striped.

Also:
$10 Heater - brand new in box metal/titanium type heater. 250 watt.
$10 Conscientious Marine Aquarist book.
?? PC Light - 24" CSL 2x65 watt pc w/moonlights. One bulb does not work - starter out? - but one bulb, moonlights and fan do work.

Tank

Tank

Are you selling the tank and stand? If so, what kind is it and is it reef ready...and how old is it?

John

I would consider selling the tank set-up. I have thought of going to a 40 or 58 gallon tank that takes up a bit less space. Plus, then I wouldn't have to pay the movers to crate the tank for moving....

It is about 3 1/2 to 4 years old. It is NOT reef ready, that is how I prefer it. The tank is all glass with no scratches. Has a nice looking wood stand and matching canopy. The stand has a lip to cover the tank edging. The lighting is a HelloLights 4x110 watt VHO with reflector. However, it is due for new bulbs.

I have a 55 gal tank (tank, stand, hob filter, coralife skimmer..was asking $250 but negotiable since I'd be interested in some livestock). It also has live cc substrate. I'm switching over to sand. I'm in the middle of an upgrade to a 75. I also have a 20 gal tall but that's probably not going to work too well for you. I would be interested in some of your livestock either way. Plan to be in the area tomorrow (Sat the 13th).
1) small star polyp
2) small fuzzy mushroom
3) kenya frag
Maybe more if you're interested in my tank. However, I wouldn't be able to bring it tomorrow. It's still in use. I will be back next weekend though. That still might be pushing it. My tank isn't reef ready either though.

I could probably provide that goby with a good home too. All I have in my 55 is a clown and damsel. They are a tad territorial but nothing that a move to the new home won't cure.

I'm from Bemidji. We're trying to start a Rural Northen MN reef club. Anyone your way be interested?

I won't be around this weekend. The clown goby was taken. The pair of clowns is still available, and the other two fish are pending.

Not really interested in getting a tank here. I'm trying to avoid paying to have it moved, so will need to get a new tank at our new location.

Anyone interested in the 75 tank, with nice stand/canopy and 440 watts of VHO?

Still a fair amount of rock left - lots of xenia - several big rocks with lots of corals attached - red zoos, red mushrooms, gsp.

I do have one piece of the candy cane left. It has about 7 or 8 heads on it.

I don't know how to attach pictures here, but if you pm your email address to me, I can email pics of anything next week.
Thanks, Beth.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner - too busy with moving details. I have not had anyone else stop by yet. Still a fair amount left. Unfortunately, I will not be available on Saturday. I will probably be available on Sunday. Send me a pm, and I'll send you my phone number in case you are around on Sunday. Beth.

Hey Kathy, are you going to come to our reef club meeting on Dec 15th at my house here in Thief River Falls?? I know it's a hike from Duluth. You could always stay at the casino/indoor water park for the weekend. We have another post in this forum if interested.

BTW, as far as I know, I bought all of the contents of her tanks.

OK cool we will keep you updated on the next meeting. (after James's on the 15th).

There will be frags for sale/trade I am sure of that.
