Livestock restrictions with CaribSeaflor Special Grade

I've changed my mind on having a bare bottom tank. I want to avoid dust storms, and think I may go with Special Grade, like my other tank.

I know that will rule out Gobies and Jawfish, but what else would this limit? Starfish? Fighting Conch, etc???

I use the finer oolite stuff mostly, but the special grade reef is still ok for sand sifters/burrowers.

Agreed, I don't think the special grade sand is at all livestock limiting. I have a diamond goby and a number of leopard wrasses, all apparently managing. Sand sifting star is best avoided regardless of your sand type.

You would not have any issues with anything you just listed. It's bigger sized but not that big. I've used the Fiji Pink before also as it has mixed sizes of 0.5 - 1.5 mm and the Special grade is only 1.0 - 2.0 mm in size. I've never had any issues with sand sifters or burrowing fish.
