Have you ever heard of Reef Dweller?
North side as it can be. On Lincoln Ave, just south of Peterson.

My top 4 stores in no order. They are all great.
Reef Dweller, Sea Schor, Coral Paradise and Beyond the Reef.

Stopped in there recently and saw a lot of what was mentioned here. The store is nice but just there to rip you off. The first store I actually went to when I started years ago was Coral Reef Pet Center which is near LS in norridge. I'll have to check out Ocean Design since it's pretty local to me too!

LS's website says that they've done some rainforest cafes!! Hope their restaurants aren't leaking! But either way, it seems that they're making money at least through that business end (Restaurants etc), too bad they don't take those profits and pass on a savings to their regular customers...

The only thing that I like about that store is the huge scorpionfish that they put in one of their display tanks, the bat rays, and the gum-drop gobies. Otherwise I am not impressed at all.
