Out of curiosity what were we steep on. I have been told I am very competitive on prices, but honestly havent had a chance to price shop myself extensively. Were also new to the hobby, so Im not sure what everyone else is doing on prices.
We talking the fish, the coral, the supplies, or all of it?

Also just so everyone knows, when it comes to the livestock (and to some extent supplies) were willing to wheel and deal to be competitive. Just dont insult us and we may be willing to work with you on things.

Not intended to bash prices. Every store I have been to in Omaha I have the same feelings (Prices are just more everywhere--compared to Denver). I was very impressed with the selection and with the Health of the livestock. This was not an attempt to bash LK but an attempt to compare it to other stores in town.

I didnt take it as a bash, just a chance at a learning experience if nothing else.
As I said, I havent seen what we are compaired to others, honestly Im not sure I will be able to anytime soon. I just try and price what I feel is fair, competitive, and at some point going to make me acceptable money.
Also alot of the pieces Ive been ordering in as far as coral goes, have been L,XL, and SHOW pieces. As such the price is going to be a bit high. I can get smaller or lesser pieces, and were now starting to order about 1-2 times per week, so the turn around on it isnt going to be long.
I just feel I get more for the money buying large, and Im always open to the idea of fragging when possible. So if something is to large for your tank, ask me if it can be pieced out. Some Im more then happy to do it with (like zoo colonies). Others I will say no, just depends on the piece.
Anyways, no offence was taken.

good to know blackcows. I guess I am just used to the ultra competitive Denver market where the three best LFS are within a 4 block radius. They all specialize in aquacultured coral and go to the distibutors in Cali every couple of months. I was very impressed with LK and will go back for sure.

One more thing about us, our hours are kinda odd so I figured I should post them before you waste a trip.

Sat,Sun,Mon 12-5
Just didnt want you to drive in and catch us closed. Also I do from time to time step out 5 minutes early if its dead. Its just my wife and I, and with a small child and another on the way every extra minute of peace can add up. So if your coming at its going to be very close to closeing you may want to call first. But honestly that only happens once every week or two.

Sorry guys, Im not ignoring anyone, just hadnt seen the post. Also I am not supposed to use this site for commercial use, as such Im not comfortable answering one way or another on anything. That said, your likely gonna need to keep looking for them gobbies if you catch my drift.
