Lobo feeding response

Hi all I recently picked up a bi color Lobo. The first time I fed it mysis it ate it without any tentacles showing. Now when I feed it just let's the food sit by its mouth for upwards of 20 min then the tentacles come out and it seems to eat it. I'm wonder why it doesn't just swallow the food right away like it did the first time I fed it?

It's kind of hard to say why the coral behaves like this, but the fact that it is eating is definitely a good sign. I wouldn't worry about it too much. GL.

How often are you feeding your lobo? in my experience they don't eat every day if fed big meals. Also, if it hasn't been fed for a long time and then you feed it it'll show a great feeding response and eat a lot. So, maybe this is why yours ate quickly to begin with but has slowed down now since it's getting fed more frequently.
