Lobo or something else?

Need help with an Id. This was sold to me as a red lobo but it doesn't look like a lobo to me. I didnt really care because I had to have it. :inlove:

Here is a top down pic of it. Looks more like a meat coral (acanthophyllia Desjardins) to me.

I'm not sure what it is, but I agree that it doesn't look like the common types of Lobos you normally see.
 
Could also be a cyarnina, that's a very common color for them while all red acanthophyllia deshayesiana are not as common.

Also, I have seen many of both called lobo's and also lobos called meat corals on importers lists, its just that the common names overseas are different than ours, and its up to the store to read the scientific name, which is usually correct, and place the correct nick name on the tank, some stores just aren't educated enough lol

Could very well be. I believe they were not sure what it was. This store actually is very knowledgeable. Its not your regular LFS. They have done a lot to advance this hobby and some of their work has been published. When they listed it on our local forum they listed it as a red whatever:rolleyes: It was probably miss labeled when it came in.
