Lobophyllia

My sps tank is doing beautiful everything blooming and colorful parameters checking ok. dkh was low when I checked but back up. Problem is my Lobophyllias and acans have not opened in a week there withdrawing. Anyone have these issues. tank 700 gal, 1250 gal system over 100 sps only these have issues. Even had one of my friends come over and double check params with his test kits all ok.

I had similar issues and when I moved my tank I found a large eunicid worm. Never saw this thing before.

There are a few stars but not many never seen one near my lobos. had 1 lobo for over a yr and did this once before why unknown, had been looking great 4 or 5 months expanding, now receding again. acans also have shrunk. sps growing like crazy just thought maybe lobos required something a little differnt. Afriend does 2 part and his look great got some on the way

My lobo, wellso, acan and blasto were not doing so well, and what was confusing to me was that my SPS (mille, slimer, fiji, tenui, monti, pocillopora, stylo) were all doing great. Decided to increase coral feeding, and to feed at night when the feeding tentacles at night. Seemed to work, as the acan acan and blasto are coming back, growing new heads where they had receded. I'm afraid a little too late for the lobo and wellso, though. So, if your sps are doing great and your lps not, check your feeding habits.

I don't have as much experience as you guys, but I had this issue with my scolymias last year. MY LFS told me to direct feed mysis shrimp when their polyps were extended. Usually at night. They are doing great now. I do it once a week. You guys might know this. I know corals release chemicals that inhibit other corals. Would having a great thriving SPS corals inhibit other species in our tanks?

I have a small lobo that I've been having problems with for months now. All my other LPS/SPS are doing fine. I finally moved it from my VHO tank to my T-5 tank and it is doing a little better. From what I've read, keeping your Alk up and night feeding (I turn all the pumps off for 30 mins) helps.
