Lobstering in Florida Keys - Islamorada

Just wondering if anyone knows of good lobster spots for mini season in Islamorada? We usually go to Marathon but its going to be Islamorada this year. Any suggestions??

lol...I know guy here at work that has a GPS with a ton of spots!!!
But man, Lobster hunters hold those spot near and dear. It's going to be difficult, to get someone to reveal thier little tresure spots.

The dawg is right, no one is going to give up their spots
We've always had success on the gulf side. If you have a boat, throw out a ski line and just drag 2 divers/snorkellers, slowly. You can cover a lot of bottom that way, and the gulf side is shallow so it's easy to see. Good luck.

yeah i know about no one wanting to give up their treasure spots :thumbsup: , really just asking about a general area and maybe for those of you who can't make it down this year and want to lead us in the right direction!!! :beer:

Hey Roadie, I assume you are boating. In Islamorada have a buddy trail you behind on a ski rope 10-12ft of water, no wake of course. Youll be amazed at what you find out there, you'll limit in no time... take a GPS and mark your spots ;-)

you can get my lobster marks from my cold dead fingers.

in the keys the best way is to troll for sharks ie have a diver on a sled being towed behind the boat.
