I have mine plumbed with a paristaltic doser prior to the Nilsen Reactor. It pushes the water thru. Even if it stuck on, it would take longer then a day to do any real damage to my system. I've got dual float switches to insure that never happens as well
What DKH does your keep you tank at?

If you look at the pics in my red house. The left of my sump is the fresh water resevior. When the level in my sump drops the ATO sensor kicks the pump on. From the fresh water resevoir water is pumped to the kalk reactor then to the main part of the sump.

100% of mine does. No siphon brake needed with a paristaltic doser due to the roller design, but I use a one way valve as well. I pull from my basement so it could never siphon into my tank if something did happen.
Mines a steady drip rate as I use a really small doser.
