I've noticed alot of local people viewing our forum lately, but have never seen them post (here or URS for that matter). I won't call any of them out, but it's nice to see there are so many locals in the hobby. Don't be shy, introduce yourselves, we don't bite! ...at least most of us don't.

Great point Piazzon! We'd love to herar from newcomers. You don't have to be seasoned aquarists or have mature tanks to be able to contribute. We all started somewhere. I started out with a 29 gallon eclipse tank. So stop0 in and say "hi".

Yes I agree! Everyone is welcome to join the club!! Each of us started without a tank at one point so even if you don’t have a tank but like the hobby and want to join us and see our tanks don’t be at all afraid to introduce yourselves! Tankless, Fish Only, Reef noob, or full blown reef experts are welcome at STRS! Join in on the reef discussions and stop by our frag meet. I mean it!!! There are no dues or cost to come to the frag meet so what do you have to loose? Plus I like showing off my tank

Hi I an also new to the "reef" I have have had salt water before but never reef.I will be coming on the 20th as a few of you already know I have contacted a few about frags as I have only a couple.But I do have a huge about 2 foot long snow flake eel I can bring if anyone would like him for a fish only tank.What are we to bring with us? (food wise).Can't wait to see everyones frag.Michaela

Welcome to STRS mickela!

I think we have just about everything covered. Everyone is welcome to bring some food to pass around if they would like but it is not at all required. I don’t want anyone not coming because they feel they have to bring something. The frag meet is free and so is the food, no pressure to bring anything unless you really want to. Also make sure to bring a cooler or something to bring your frags home in. See you this weekend :thumbsup:

Ill say hello. I have been in the URS form and (no offence guys) forgot that this one was here. I’m in Cortland so I’m more or less right in the middle of both. I’m trying to make it to the swap this weekend but I don’t think Ill be able to make it.
