Buddy is coming in from Orlando tomorrow to check out all the LFS. I know Corral coral, FAOIS, Marine depot are all close. What other ones should we check out? I live in clearwater

IMO why is Coral Corral left out of the general popular opinion ?? Anyways one vote for Coral Corral and Creative for sure!

Probably because they aren't a Tbrc sponser..... But that's just a guess Lol.

Check out Drysdale and elite aquaculture for some hidden gems.

OP mentioned it initially & was asking for additional stores. 2nd post covered the remainder of the stores around the city of Tampa. Doesn't sound like anybody is knocking any store.

My guess and personal opinion is, while I like most of our LFS's, it is very difficult to shop at Coral Corral. The fact that they run their actinic lighting only during operating hours and you must look top down at corals in tubs through often not so clear acrylic is difficult and discouraging.

Yes I know they will turn on the whites if you ask, but if they're busy helping other customers I end up walking out. Don't get me wrong though, I do like the staff and the place is clean and huge with awesome display tanks. But I want to really see what I'm buying first.

Also, their social media presence is almost non existent compared to the others mentioned. Many times I saw a fb post and headed down to their store to check out what they got in.

+1 for Faois and Creative

Also, before any fish store wars start. I better state that I'm thankful we have a lot of options in the Bay Area. I'm sure it would suck to be a reefer in Wyoming. Haha. And every store has it's pros and cons and Coral Corral is worth a visit too. Just answering the question in my opinion.

100% agree, every time I go to Corral I have to walk around with my cell phone flash light on to get a better idea of what I'm looking at. Some more realistic lighting would be much appreciated.

Well I just made it back, Creative is a very nice place, I definitely can understand how that is one of the best around. My personal experience has always been the best at FAIOS so that will still be my go to store. Nice to check out all the other places though. Price wise, every place seems to have their ups and downs. Marine Warehouse had some pretty cool pieces of rock with multiple polyps on them I liked that were reasonable.
