Log software

Is there any good reefkeeping log software out there? Seems like it might be more effective than your run of the mill paper log...

Yeah, but it all comes down to whether or not you are to lazy to use it :). If I had Excel, I would use that in conjunction with Access. In fact, that sounds like a really good idea... but im too lazy.

Haha. I don't know if it's that im too lazy, or that I would just rather tinker with my tank than log events. Keeping a log is important though. I think the combination of Excel and Access would work well. Some reefers local to me have come up with this little app.

I have never played with it, nor do I claim it works.

Yes! It does way more than I will ever use.

I suggest if you use it that you don't fill in the $$ amounts for everything, it will scare you

I've been using ReefCon Pro. It's cheap. It does everything you need it to do. It's got reminders, expenses (whew), pics, water log, I think you can try it for free at reefcon.com.

There's also a very small program called aquasetup. It's really just a spreadsheet.

I have ReefCon Pro (bought it) but development is slow and it is very buggy. I am going to write my own application when I have some time. Maybe if there is enough interest I can gather some feature requests and then I'll give it away (for free).
