LOL hiding fish

lol so I bought a green chromis for my first fish...cute little guy but he went behind my heater and pvc overflow 3 days ago. so I bought him a friend another green chromis thinking they would hangout... lol they did for about 2 hours swimming in the water column than they both went behind the heater and overflow... Dang fish I'm about to take out the heater and overflow so I can see my fish :fun4:

when it comes to green chromis, I have heard that they do better with odd numbers. when I got them for my tank I purchased 5 and for the last two weeks they are swimming all over the tank.

If it's the 55 gallon, I'm not sure if you will have any luck with another. I had purchased three for a 120. They ended up killing one off. The other two lived for a year or so together in the 120 and then in a 46 gallon I moved them to. How long have you had them? If they are the only fish in the tank, I think they will very quickly come out and start swimming in the water column. They may just be scared/stressed since they were just moved into the tank.

Be patient. I waited for a month for my Flame Angel to come out on a regular basis. They need time to calm down and get accustomed to the tank.

yea its just funny though cuz they eat but they don't go more than 2 inches or so from there hiding spot
