For those of you posting in the other anemone thread I started, I thank you for all the help. However, I asked for help too late and I have killed my second one in the past year. Any suggestions on one that I may actually be able to keep alive? I'll do better about feeding it I swear. I really love the look of anemones and would really like to keep one. I'll be a more responsible reefkeeper I swear

I have quite a few green bubble tip anemones that I will sell or trade for cheap if you are interested.

These are very strong. I have had then in my system for about 4 years and never had one die. They have split and resplit many times.

put me down for a good size one reefnut i will be by this weekend unless you want to come by my house and check out some corals in softie tank. I could cut you off some frags.

R-G bta's are by far the hardiest, I would not recommend any other anemone as a host to your clowns. if it was just for a look in your tank, could go with a condy, can't hardly kill them. but they'd probably eat your clowns if they decided to host em

Darrick if your off why don't you come down to the house and bring me one of those leathers :D

Can't beat a captive raised animal. If that doesn't do well, there is someting wrong. It's usually not from feeding, or lack of.

my maroon clown rubbed last gbta to death so i need one big enough for him cause now he is hanging out in colt coral.

I would like to eventually get a green bta for my clowns. How much light do you need for one of these?

I believe the general concensus is T-5/MH. From the reading I've done they can also be kept under VHOs, but something about those bulbs doesn't allow them to thrive as well as with the previously listed lighting options.

ya i'd love to get ahold of another bta. I just got to make sure all my stuff is in order first. I'm doing a water change tomorrow and getting a new rock or so. I can probably manage to get everything going around friday evening or so.

I have kept them under both PCs and MH , they will live either way but they look much fuller and happier under the higher light condition. Plus they dont seem to move around much under the better lights.

I have some that I will trade or sell for cheap if you want one.

You're putting another BTA under compact fluorescent lighting?

We've got several BTA's. Ours has split MANY times. 2 huge ones in our displays and at least 4 in our 120 sump. I guess they like us. :-P

yes I think I can get an anemone in here. I've ssen a million pictures of people who have them in BioCube's with out mods. This leads me to believe that its something else I've done to him. So I'll give it a try one more time. So Reefnut I'll probably be PMing you later about buying one from ya. I'm getting ready to go buy a new rock for my tank and do a water change, then I'll see where all my parameters are

I must say that the angel, hawk, and eel you have in your tank are all unsuitable for long term dwellers of your Nano tank.

I hope you will move them up soon to a larger tank.

Ya I know this, but if it makes you feel any better I'm pretty sure the sngel is now somewhere between heaven and the eel's belly. I relly thought he was too big to get eaten but I can't find the angel or his remnants anywhere
