long island bred seahorses??????

Does anyone know of someone who breeds seahorses locally?

Thats a good idea, I'll have to get some photo's up during the weekend. There local seahorses I think. I got the female at BTJ's and the male was already pregnent from Pets Warehouse.

Youll most likely need rotifers as there first food. Youll also need phyto to feed the rotifers.

whats btjs and did they get them from someone local? a hobbyist breeder ?

BTJ's is a pet store. They're on Sunrise Hwy in Islip (Bayshore?) on the eastbound service road.

Wouldn't surprise me... Never liked BTJ's... Had some bad experiences.
