Long nose hawk won't eat

4 inch long nose hawk, purchased 10 days ago, very well known Chicago dealer
"Of course it eats, all our fish are eating, been here 10 days." a little skeptical since I didn't see it eat but took it home.
No interest in my six, frozen brine, limpits reef, rods, flake, even live brine
Well established 160 gal mixed reef, all other fish healthy and eat everything
Thoughts?

Very odd for a longnose not to eat immediately. They're pretty hardy and love mysis. How does it look? Whats in there with it?

Long nose hawk won't eat

Color is good but belly starting to contract.
Basically just sits on rock watching food float by, no attempts to eat it
Pretty activevtankmates - clowns, tangs, wrasse, flame hawk, grammar, angels

Agreed they usually are good eaters. Is it showing interest as food passes? Keep the variety up. I know there mouth looks small but they can eat some pretty large pieces.

Did you see it eat before purchase and did you quarantine him. I am starting to see more and more fish come in with flukes which can cause a fish to stop eating.
