So i have had this particular long spine urchin for around 6 months. I always provide nori. It is always available.
Up until this point, it had not touched anything.
Fast forward to today, a large chunk of one of my purple people eater colonies, about 15 or so polyps, are gone, munched away, and about 5 or so polys are half eaten, and the long spine is perched on a rock ledge right above the colony.
In this display i have, pencil urchin, 3 small yellow tip hermits, 4 chromis, yellow corris wrasse, yellow watchman goby, Chocolate Tang, Lamarcks angel, Royal Gramma, and a tailspot blenny.
How certain should i be this long spine urchin has developed a taste for coral?
I had a large chunk of my chilli coral(one whole branch) disappear a couple weeks back as well.
