I am having the mother of all battles with hair algae in my FOWLR tank(filled originally with tap water now paying the price), anyway I am considering getting an Urchin to graze on this algae; I have the choice between the Long Spined or Tuxedo varieties and from my reading I gather the Long Spined species is the best filamentous algae grazer, the Tuxedos much preferring the coraline algae.
In the tank I have two Triggers, (a baby Clown and young Bursa) I also have a Harlequin Tuskfish....just wondered if any of these may try and eat the Urchin......don't want to hurt either the Urchin or my fish.....
Any thoughts......
