does anyone know what the googly eye looking thing on top of a urchin is? i noticed yesterday he was deflating it and sucking up in his body and then re-inflating over and over again. it was pretty wild looking.
Yup, they are all correct. The urchins grow pretty quickly. I have had mine for almost 6 months now, and has almost outgrew his welcome in my 125 gallon. Have you ever seen him use his butt? It shoots out what looks like pieces of sand..
that is what it looked like. when he was sucking it in and out of his body it looked like tiny pieces of sand coming out. that's one heck of a way to purge. that's why this hobby is so addicting. no telling what you're going to discover!
