Left center top. I bought it as a sebae, but I am unsure what type it is. I think it was bleached when I got it. It was white bubble tip looking with blue tips, but it soon changed to long green tentacles with purple tips. Hard to tell in this pic under actinics. It split last night and I don't have room to keep multiple. It opens up huge! Trade me with pretty zoanthids. Or to those that give me stuffs to replace what I've lost, it would be free for you! :)

Mikey, what sort of lighting andflow does it seem to like? I may be interested and have some pretty zoa's I may already be able to frag.

can you take a photo of it with the lights on and not just actinics?

its not a condy is it?

Bart,

Unfortunelly when I get the chance to take a pic is when I get home at night when only actinics are on. And I take it with my phone. I have lots of caps and candy cane is huge. I've had it for years now.

Linsey,

I have it under VHO actinics and 175w MH. Medium flow. It moves to where it likes best and its been sitting at the same place for a very long time. I think there's about 3-4 that split off. Ill try to take a pic under halides next time hopefully it would be more clear.

Here's another pic I took with flash on, the best I can do for now...

Bart,

This is the 55g that's mainly taken over by caps and candy cane plus mushrooms, now anemones....lol The 90g is the bare one that I lost soooo much stuffs in, but the strongest one survived through the mishap. Now I'm just trying to get some stuffs to cover the bare spots...lol

That works for me! Beggers can't be choosers... so I take it!!! Its beautiful anyway!!! :) since I lost so many zoas, any would do...lol

LOL. ok. ill let them grow a bit more and see if I can get them onto a chunk of rock for you. They have been expanding pretty quickly and seem to really like my tank. maybe you are going to the meeting on the 20th? ill be there.

ive never had zoa's so I dont know the easy way to frag them. they are actually quite pretty. very irredescent yellow on the tips.

Something came up so I'm gonna have to stay at work that day. A way to not having to frag is to place a piece of rock by the colony and let them grow onto it by themselves. Fragging it is actually pretty easy but you would probably tick them off while doing it. Placing the rock beside them is actually a safer way. Just remember zoanthids are toxic! During fragging, IF they squirt into your eyes, MUST rinse off ASAP. And wash your hands real good after fragging. Or even after handling them period. IF you have some damaged ones to dispose, do bag them multiple times before disposing them into your trash cause it can and will kill other animals if ingested. I'm a big zoanthids fan, just been up and down with them. Either get eaten or when equipment breaks down and kill them off....lol

Thanks for hte tip. I will place a chunk of rock next to their area and let htem grow onto it. they have already encrusted off the rock they came in on and have attached to my main rockwork. didnt realize they were that poisonous. Cool!

maybe we can work something out on them. I do know I have to be in Murfreesboro next saturday, but its during the middle part of the day.

I have to work all day that day. We can try to work out a time where you'll be around. You can bring the zoos at the frag swap in jan.

I have to check. Im not sure if it just split into 2 or 3. Its still huge even after the split. If I have just one, I keep you on the list for the next one.
