hi all.

I have a long tentacle plate coral but the tentacles arent as long as they are suposed to be. just to make sure, what should i feed it with and how should i feed it, at night, etc?

should look like this:

Try Coral Frenzy, 1 teaspoon per 50 gallons 3-4 times a week. I don't think it tells you day or night but will probably be more effective at night if it is fully opened.

I ahve always had good luck feeding very meaty foods to heliofungia. Mysis, krill, Rod's food, etc., and lower flow generally gets them to have the super long tentacles. I had one for years (sold him in a move) that I kept in higher flow than my other helios, and his tentacles never extended as long, but he was perfectly healthy. I moved him once to test into lower flow, and sure enough got another 2" of tentacle extension.

sounds good, i ll try those tricks out. i will hold on on moving it since i have just done so and don't want to disturb it too much fort now but i ll defenetely get some mysis today!
