I have a long tentacles anemone it has been in the tank for a week but it wonââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t stick to the rocks. Any suggestions

Anemone usually is less sticky under stressful or sub-par health condition. The best remedy for an anemone is a clown fish. If you can find a maroon, tomato, or a clarki they should be able to help your anemone establish on the right track.

I disagree with this part of your statement. A clown fish will harass the enemone and cause it further stress.

There are several tips you can try, here are a few

For starters, do you have enough light for this species? How old is your tank/

You want to try to keep the flow down to a minimun. Make like a nest of rocks and expose the bottom glass in the it so it can try to stick to the glass. If that fails, get some soft netting material (like what they use to keep birds from fruit) tie that to some rocks and use it to try to afix it to a spot.

I agree that this animal may be stressed, hurt (torn foot is a common affliction) or does not like it's environment.

go check out the anemone and clownfish forum

thanks guys
got good light 1600 watts plus vho actinics i did turn off the 400w light right above it though. flows been turned down. i have fish nets would that work? i made a little spot for it in the rock it stayed their for 6 days until yesterday and it was at the bottom of the tank.

Maintain excellent water quality & give it some time. It wil place itself where/when it feels comfortable. If it doesn't.. well.. :(

I think that fish nets are too fine. You could also make a web kinda thing from fishing line and try that. You want something that will keep the anemone in place, but not be too small so it can breath and get light

Long Tentacle Anemone ( LTA ) tend to prefer to be on the sand. They bury their foot in the sand usually near the edge of you LR. They do require a sand bed of atleast 2 - 3 inches.
