Long Tentacles On Hammer

My hammer coral seems to be doing great! My question is, sometimes random tentacles are sticking out at nearly twice the length of others. It is usually in the same area and just one or two but they are extended about twice the distance of the others. Is this normal? Or is the coral trying to tell me something?

These are sweeper tentacles. It is hungry. Just make sure these tentacles don't hit any other corals!

I would worry to much about it - sometimes with mine some heads are fully extended and the other(s) are totally retracted....

Definitely sweepers. I would be cautious and try to make sure that they aren't in range of other non-euphyllia corals.

thanks guys! sorry for the delay been crazy busy. tentacle definitely hit one of my shrooms lol...i plan on feeding tonight so maybe it'll retract afterwards.

Keep them fed... and just be on the look out for warfare & mindful of enough space to grow out without burning your other corals...sweepers are like your stomach growling. Torches are so beautiful...their movement is serene.
