Long time no chat, and ...

How do I get logged onto the BAR website? My login is on the system but not with my password or email address. And, yes, for those who don't know me, I'm positive that my login is for me... There aren't many of us Ketells in the world and I'm the only gketell (especially in the Bay Area).



ps, my tank is almost back to being day-one quality. We killed off 95% of the algae by killing the lights for a month. Our whopping three corals have been hiding in the prop tank. Time to start rebuilding!

You are having problems on the forum part of the BAR site?

I believe you still have to go through the "register" link on the forum page. I don't see ketell or gketell on the memberlist for the forums.

Also, PM dswong01. He's the membership coordinator for BAR, and can help with any problems.

I tried to register as gketell but it said the handle already existed.

I also tried PMing but it wanted me to log in to send a PM.

Ok, I've never gone through any troubleshooting regarding the website stuff there. Dswong01 and capescuba should be able to figure it out.

Guessing at some random stuff which may or may not help....

If gketell exists but doesn't show on the memberlist, it might be in a member database, but there might be some kind of password problem.

Clear out the cookies and cache in your browser.

Check if the login works on the BAR homepage.

Check if the login works on the BAR forum page.

Maybe see if capescuba can reset the password.

Glad to see you back on the forum Greg. Did you ever get the fish room up? Your Kenya Tree and GSP are alive and kicking in my system. In fact I tried to get rid of the Kenya Tree by plucking them out but they keep reappearing. If you need any frags, just let me know.

Hey Patrick!

No thanks on the Kenyan; we still have a ton of if (in the prop tank). It makes a nice carpet when you keep it under a constant blast of water. Interesting pesty stuff. If anyone needs frags....

The GSP is still doing great. Another "can't kill it". If anyone need frags we just pulled off a bunch yesterday.

The fish room is up, it houses the sump, refugium and prop tank plus a sink and small refigerator (Kim hated opening the normal fridge and finding fish food).

Main tank is up and running again but the drainage isn't quite right. 95% of the time it is perfect but every once in a while it will not start up after a power outage and we will have a small waterfall in the hallway. I think I need to replumb the drains to make 2 2" lines to the sump rather than the one we have.
