Long white worm found

I have 4 small pieces of a leather coral which has little green grass like tops. The other night I notice that one of the heads had all its green top retracted. A rather large 3 to 4 inch long white worm was crawling over the surface of the coral. I grab a set of tweezers and was able to remove it from my tank. I should have taken a picture but of course I didn't. :sad2: Anyone have any idea as to what I removed. This is a very new tank system about 5 months old.
Any advise would be appreciated as to what else to watch out for.:eek2:

Hard to say without a great description or a picture. But now you've learned a lesson. A photo of it in the tank is helpful. If you remove it, a photo of it in a small cup with tank water in it is often better.

Get use to your leather showing polyps most of the time, but they can retract if bothered by anything. Sometimes moving one in the same tank (just relocating it) will cause it to not put out polyps for day.
