Longfin fairy wrasse

How is the temperament and any advice on these? Be ok with what I have? I'd like to add a group of 2-3 if possible, would this be a good idea or limit stocking options?

I've been a bit stumped as far as stocking goes (I'm looking at inches per gallon to help me narrow this as nothing else has I'm afraid to say).

Besides what's in my signature the only lock and not purchased is a Squaretail Bristletooth Tang.

Temperament is middle-of-the-road for Cirrhilabrus, but I would advise against more than one. If you really want 2-3 fairys, go with different species for each.

Would 1 of these and a bluehead be a better option? That and Scott's or the pink have been the 1s that stick out.

Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura is the 1. I've also been looking at Cirrhilabrus Rubrimarginatus

I've been very good about not buying anything live without researching, that was until yesterday when I purchased a Sunset Fairy Wrasse. Everything was fine last night, now this morning I want to do this :hammer: to it.

Do all fairy wrasses pick at hermits and snails? Because right now this guy has 1 fin out the door.

A side note, they did have an exquisite fairy wrasse if this type is better behaved.

Fairy wrasses are usually, if not always, coral and invert safe, so one messing wih hermits is surprising.

If sunset fairy wrasse is Cirrhilabrus cf. pylei, theycan be on the aggressive side for a fairy wrasse, that said it's aggression is limited to other fairy and flasher wrasses and can be managed.

Something else I just noticed since I am home and not out playing today, it does swim around and pick things quite a bit, I did fed this morning and last night.

Def should have gotten the Exquisite.....usually alot better temperament/personality with other wrasse and nicer colors.

Would it picking at the hermits have anything to do with it in my 20g QT? Guessing once they do this they always will? I have removed most but that is part of my CUC in my display tank and they do a nice job getting the leftover scraps from my eel.
