Looking at mantis shrimps at liveaquaria.com PLEASE HELP ME

There is 2 mantis shrimps in the diver den at liveaquaria.com a Yellow one and the green looking one can you tell me what one you would pick if you where to put one in a 12 gal tank. And what are the specic of the two. I like both. but would the yellow one stay yellow. Thank You for your in put if you can.

The yellow one is probably a P. ciliata. This is just a guess based on the fact that very few mantis shrimp have a yellow color morph. The P. ciliata is very hardy and one of the few interactive spearers. however It wouldn't be able to stay in the 12 gallon for ever. An adult needs about 20 gallons. I have no idea how long it could live in there though. I also have no idea what the other mantis is. Like I said it is just a guess that it is a P. ciliata. Someone with more experience could probably be more help. good luck!
