looking for 1" inside diameter black vinyl tubing....

ok joel, here is the deal....

i went to wannemakers to buy the tubing and they do sell it. however, it is not normal black vinyl tubing. it is ridged on the outside and smooth on the inside. the typical application of this tubing is for ponds and the ridging helps the tubing keep it's shape.

i decided to error on the side of caution and not buy it for you b/c 1) i knew this is not the exact type of tubing you are expecting and 2) i was not sure if you were planning on connecting them to barbed fittings (which works) or if you were going to glue them to the inside of PVC (which would not work).

i did buy some for myself and it does seem to connect snug to barbed fittings. hope i did not mess anything up for you.

i actually really like this tubing joel. it is very flexible, even more so than the regualr black vinyl which can be difficult to get straight when first used. this ridged tubing is very easy to manipulate and the ridges ensure it will not kink.

when i first saw it i thought it was the typical plastic ridged tubing that you normally see but it s different. it is vinyl and the interior is smooth.

i would recommend this to anyone in lieu of the regular vinyl.

the name of the place is Wannemakers and it is located about 1 - 2 miles east of 355 on Ogden in Downers Grove.

I just saw 1" black vynal tubing at Menards and it was in much shorter lenghts then 100 ft. maybe you should stop there ...the people answering the phones dont always know what there talking about.

I Was at Menards today and there 10ft black vynal tubing is 1" O.D. (which I dont understand ).
