Looking for 400 watt MH

We are going to be switching our 250 watt's pendants(DE) out to 400 watt (SE) within the next week.

Does anyone have any for sale and/or does anyone know the cheapest place to get them?

I am thinking of going the DIY route on lights.

This guy on ebay has what looks like a good deal on a 400w MH ballast and socket.

Anyone have experience with this type of setup

In my experience you usually get what you pay for. A sub $40 magnetic ballast may fire a 400 watt bulb, but I wouldn't use it if I was trying to grow out corals.

Does that mean that you are just getting less light output from the same bulb? Are there other attributes of how an expensive ballast compares to magnetic (bulb life, etc?)

Yes I am sure Hellolights will be cheaper but I think this whole combination is the bomb!

I have 2 400 watt m.h. light fixtures w/ bulbs that I'm trying to get rid of. $100.00 for both.

I actually found 2 - 400 watt / Hamilton dual ballast with luminarc reflectors.....I am using a 250 PFO Pendant in the middle
