shoot me a pm if you're selling one, thanks. not looking for reef ready, this is for my pond fish for the winter.

I always just left my fish in the pond over the winter. You just need to keep a small hole open for oxygen exchange. That can be done with a small pump. Of course, your pond has to be a certain depth, depending on the region. If your pond is deep enough, they do just fine. Stop feeding them when the water temperature reaches 50 degrees. They just lay on the bottom until Spring. I never lost a fish this way.

^^This.

My pond is 18" deep and this method has worked for years. You could also use an airstone to keep the water open.

thanks everyone. I know some people leave them outside. I would like to but this pond is too far from the house for electricity.

Thanks - that is great news! I definitely want to set up the shelf tank as SW whenever you're done with it. I have been offered another 55 and I am just really opposed to that shape of tank. I know you can relate. Thanks though.
