looking for a black perc

I was just wondering if anyone has seen any black percs in any of the LFS around Chicago.

It wouldn't cost much more $ to get a small Onyx clown from Rod's .

Are you looking for the ALL black and white clowns? If so they are actually ocellaris and not percs. The onyx percs are the closest you get to a "black" perc.

I agree with Hansfrans if you are after the onyx percs check out Rodsreef.
If you are after the black ocellaris, DrFoster and Smith occassionally has them available from England or Australia and a pooled order might even get you free shipping!

I have a pair of black and white ocellarius (Orca and Shamu) in my 45 gallon and 2 small Rod's onyx clowns (no names yet) in a 10 gallon system. Can't go wrong with either one. I love my pair of black and whites, they are completely jet black, I puchased the feamle through swf.com and got the male at Ocean Design (very good LFS).

You can't lose with either, they both are great looking fish. But if you want to puchase black and white ocellarius I recomment Ocean Design. They are tank raised and they are quarantined for a week or so. OD always seem to have healthy livestock.

Stopped at Tropiquatics on Saturday. They had 1 black perc (although it looked more like a saddleback to me)
