Looking for a few frags

Yeah.. just pull the leaves off when the whole leaf goes clear- it'll come off real easily. They'll do that at first. Pics will help to make sure it isn't going sexual on you ( that's bad ), but I doubt it is. Macro can handle a good deal of flow. It gets longer in higher flow, and grows much more.
I have some Halimeda that's starting to kick the growth into gear. Once it gets some real size on it, you can have some.... That is... if you have room for another invasive algae :D

Is that your tank? It looks nice but before I spent money on frags...I'd TOTALLY get some live rocks! It will add stability to your tank like you wouldn't believe. To save money you can add dead rock into there with some live rock...or people are always selling off good live rock for cheap on the forums!

The macro is looking nice in there. I'd spread it out a little, though. Just separate them so they can spread. If you're worried about it reaching the rocks, you don't need to. I honestly can't see why this macro is so invasive in Cali. It's just so easy to remove, and doesn't grow overnight like some other macro algaes. ( I do have some that does, and I can still control it. It's just a matter of getting down and salty every now and then. ;) )

I feel like a know-it-all looking at all my posts in this thread! I don't mean to; I just like to give advice that I've learned the hard way, cause no one told me.

Since I'm already being a smarty pants:bounce3:, I, too, would add some more live rock. It makes the tank look nicer, IMO, adds loads to the filtration, and gives you places to put the corals! Also, all of the life on the rocks is amazing. I could keep myself entertained with a lb of live rock in a 5g tank :lolspin:

wow u 2 lol !!!!! I said its a new tank only been running for around 4 months now. Christmas kinda put a dent in my aquarium adventures :P but yes i plan on addding TONS more rock when i can afford to :P

I tried to spread the micro around steph, but the powerheads pulled it all up and had it stirring like a stew in my tank lol only spots it will stay is the 2 back corners of my tank

I wasn't trying to be crappy! It's just hard to judge what people who are new to the forum know and don't know!

Glad you're planning to add rocks. Thumbs up on that one.

And i do appreciate you 2 both looking out for me :P Just installed my new light fixture wifey bought me:) unfortunately the canopy will need to be modified so it will fit. Heres a pic with the new fixture installed. Of course Jacob wanted to be the center of attention holding his school bus !!

Still looking for Gsp, Shrooms, and a monti cap in the knoxville area .. Ill even take a candy cane :P at reasonible price :) Zoanthids pm me w price per polyp :P

just a FYI... I was in the coralreef last night, and they had 25.00 zoa frags ( eagle eye ) nice size too. about 2-3 in size with 10+ polyps. also xenya if your interested.

I think it's a good idea to buy some base rock and some live rock. $25 for 10 polyps of eagle eyes isn't out of line for a store, not at all.

Sometimes you can get rock from people in the club for $2-3 a pound that's live! We just had 2-3 people break down tanks and sell some off.

Also, my frags are mostly $15 for 5-10 polyps, depending on which zoas you're buying.

They also have a $5 section with a couple of shrooms.

I picked up 11lbs of Baserock from there today .... But they had a sign up that said mushrooms.. $8 Per single.... Which i thought $5 was WAY to much. then headed to lowes to get supplies to modify canopy :) its done... now. Just needs painted. Then over to Aquatic Marine Where Russel Sold me a Rock Covered in shrooms. for $30 theres atleast 20 shrooms on this thing. AND i picked up something that swims :) which got a freshwater dip before being introduced :P

So i water sealed my background tonight :P makes background look so much better heres a couple new pics of the extra rock ive added, canopy, mushroom rock, but my something that swims seems to be camera shy
