I have a little 2" gigas that my LFS got in. Might want to talk to your LFS and see if they can get you one. Also, might want to email ORA.

I've had mine for about 4 years now bought it at 6" now over 16" . If you don't have a setup for this clams growth I would pass on buying it. I have ahalf of a 24" clam. It is heeeeavy.

Well I got one today. It was alittel bigger than I wanted 8 inches. And Its got Blue dots instead of green. Wow its awsome. And for $238 with tax. Ill get a picture tomarrow when i get back from work, the lights are out now. Happy me.

zooguy, it will have blue dots when oyu look at it through the side of your tank, and have green dots when you look at it from the top

stoney, a gigas and a blue gigas are 2 different rarities. Blues are very hard to come by. hence they will be more money

I guess it has I saw online at pet warehouse they had a menu with smalls Gigas for $12 mediums for $17 and large for $30. I called to oreder some and they laughed at me when I told them the price they had online, they said that it needed to be updated. Duh. They wanted like $90 for a small now.
If you got an eight inch blue gigas for $50 bucks you got a bargin.

King your clam and mine could be twins. Must have come from the same place in the sea. Do you know where they came from, all my guy could tell me is he got it from a supplyer in LA.

Id like to see a pic of what you guys consider a "Bue" Gigas. Mine looks axactly like what you guys have, Blue from the side, green from a top down shot. A Blue Squamie is one thing but Blue Gigas sounds like marketing hype. So lets see this rare Blue Gigas from the top down?

Looks like green dots to me. I was looking at mine last night and the dots look blue from the top unless I put my 150w pendant right over top of the clam, then they look green. Im not convinced, I hate the clam market. Black and white Maximas are so frickin cheap in Europe, here? Hundreds. Some stores in town sell 2" Maximas for $80, but go a few miles away and another store is selling 4" ultra max for $50. Crazyness to say the least.
