looking for a QUIET replacement pump 1500-2500GPH

I currently have 2 quietone 9000 pumps (2300GPH each) One is the main pump which sits in my sump. This one seems nice and quiet. The other one sits outside the tank as a recirc pump for the closed loop. This one is loud as hell for some reason. I cant find any real way of making it any less loud either, so I'm thinking I'll have to replace it. Any suggestions as to what would make a nice QUIET replacement?

Well, I can officially rule OUT the Iwaki: sounds like a jet engine during takeoff. But they are great pumps!

Prolly a long shot but did you try switching the pumps? If one is louder than the other and works ok, the submersion may quiet it down some. Just thinking out loud with my cheapskate hat on...

I disagree with Sk8ter, my iwaki is quiet and dependable. the later of which is wayyyyyyyy more important.

I just got a blueline velocity t4 and I dont think quiet is the word more like noiseless. When I plugs it in I couldn't tell if it was on I had to watch my water level. I love it!
