looking for a skimmer

I am looking for a small skimmer for my 55 gallon. In sump venturi preferred. I have a bigger in sump spray style that works fine but takes up way to much room in my little sump. Any thoughts?

You know Aqua C Remora works well with small space....

Sorry for the delay. The current one I have is an Aqua C 180 I believe. It takes up almost 10x10 with the pump. I would prefer everything to fit inline within 10" including pump, and then just be 4" or so. I used to have a cpr one about this size, but it was 15 years ago.

I'm not sure how this would fit with your budget, but I don't think Tunze skimmers can be beat for the foot print. I have a 9002 on my nano and it is an awesome little skimmer. mixer911 has a Tunze on his tank, too, that does a great job and takes up very little space.

I got my asm mini g running on a 75gal, the pump is under the base easily removeable though, very happy with performance its about 20 inches tall foot print is only about 8inch by 4.5inch, not exactly tiny but its only about 100 new if price is an issue. good performance for the pricetag I think.

Yep! They are. I believe due to this, though, that they fairly sensitive to water levels.

And my little brother as an ASM Mini G... I agree with Sean! Fantastic skimmer for the money.
