I am looking for a starter phytoplankton culture in mansfield. I have a cucumber that has been doing great for quite a while but I know he would benifit more from fresh live phyto rather than the bottled up junk. Just let me know. Willing to psy cash or trade a frag or two.

I've been saving 2 ltr's to make a culture station. I have 6 as of right now. It's on hold due to the fact that IDK if anybody else in the area would need any (until now).

I also would like to get some cheato and try growing pods/shrimp for my mandarin (even though he eats frozen and is nice and fat). I figure he and the rest of the tank mates would like it.

My point: If there is a demand for some live food in the area, I'm willing to go all out and get it setup. I've been looking into this for a few months and isn't that hard to do. It's just that I really didn't want to do it just for me.

I really like the DT stuff, but it's expensive (I think so). I'm going to try Marine Snow next.

If there is a couple more people interested in live food, I can get the ball rolling. Anyone in the area have some Cheato that needs thinned out?

Jason I have a buddy in Columbus who has TONS of cheato that I can get if you want some. I need to get some myself. Let me know and I can pic it up for you.

I will take some, just let me know how much and where/when to pick up. That will get my 10 gl going just for cheato/pods.

Should I have a substrate of some kind?

Jason

If you want co grow pods i am not sure. I would assume that some sand and small amount of liverock would be best. The stuff is packed full of pods and other good stuff.
