Looking for a tank

I'm looking for a 20 long or a 29 gallon tank.

(reef ready is a major plus but does not have to be)

(acrlyic would be awesome, but AGA would do just fine)

I already have a nice stand made that is 40 inches long, 13 inches deep.

I would like to get a tank to set up for my maroon clowns and anenome.

I dont have a ton of money as I just got a 150 watt MH.

Please hook me up. I'm located in Sterling, IL 61081 about 30 minutes east from Clinton Iowa.

im sure someone has an extra tank lying around...

i think they are like 40 bucks at petco... do you have anything like... a local craigslist.com sort of thing? we have a swapsheet here ( if you wanted to drive towards the waterloo area the swapsheet is on www.veridiancu.com and its under view swapsheet)

uhm... if i had an extra tank besides the 10 gallon we have layin around i would certainly sell it to you but i dont.

dang, I'm open to alot of ideas. I mainly want to just set up a really low maintance tank for my two paired maroon clowns and their hosting H. Crista anenome.

haha. thats what we all want man. you could look into building a tank although i think you could (and might want to just do it) go to petco and spend the like ..30 or 40 bucks on the tank...

i think you can even get a 29 gallon tank at walmart with a kit (not that you should use it, but i mean.. .extra stuff if you have freshwater!)

wont a H. Crista outgrow that size tank really fast? You might want to consider a 40 breeder or something else 18" wide.

You do not need to yell. Most pet stores have 20L's for 30-40 bucks. Most people don't have them not being used as they work great for sumps.
I was just suggesting that putting a Heteractis crispa that gets 18 inches wide might be crowded in a 12 inch wide tank. You might want to consider a green Entacmaea quadricolor if size is a restriction. They look awesome with maroon clowns and usually do not get over a foot. sorry for the misunderstanding

Oppps you already have the H. Crispa. Good luck putting it in a 20L with 2 GSM's . If it ever gets to big you could always cut it in half when the time comes or upgrade tanks. BTW the pics of your clowns and Nem look good.

thank you for the reply. I wasnt yelling, I was just making sure people understood my situtation Yeah my maroons are about 2 inches now and the H. Crispa is getting huge. I will sell them as a pair + the anenome if anyone is interested for a $120 I wanna get a way smaller anenome or how do I cut it in half? I would really like to get a minature carpet aneneome or a small pink tip rose anenome.

I'm not sure about a miniature anemone but as far as a small bubble tip, I bought a RBTA last winter (that was small) and that thing is now wider across the mouth than my hand. If they are thriving and healthy, they are big or they are big and then they split.

I also cringe to think of you cutting your present anemone in half. I think that others might chime in here and tell you that you might easily kill it trying to do that.

I have a nice 29 with the back painted and everything for 20 bucks. Small crack But I would include a tube of aquarium silicone. But I think your to far away? I don't exactly know where sterling is.

If anyone else is interested in the tank let me know.
